ICI PARIS XL Netherlands wins the Best Product Award


ICI PARIS XL Netherlands received the “Best Folder Perfumery Market” title in the Best Product Awards. Jointly organized by the DDMA Business Group Distributions and Q&A research institution, 6,000 consumers were invited to review and vote for their favorite folders in the Netherlands.

Culture Program


All staff of the ICI PARIS XL head office gathered together for a Culture Program, to brainstorm and discuss possible ways in which the work environment could be adjusted to suit the needs of employees and improve the team’s digital agility. Afterwards a design team was created, with the aim of setting up workgroups to answer specific questions and give solutions to problems about the working environment.

ICI Paris XL Awards


Every year, ICI Paris XL presents awards to employees who have excelled in their work. This year, the awards were presented on 25 January. The aim each year is to acknowledge deserving employees and to inspire all staff, those in the company’s headquarters and its stores are eligible to win an award.

Look Good Feel Better


In partnership with the Look Good Feel Better foundation, ICI PARIS XL sold special Good Vibes bracelets in stores. For every sale made, €5 was donated to the foundation, which organises grooming workshops for women with cancer. This is on top of the make-up ICI PARIS XL donates twice yearly, to facilitate the workshops that aim at boosting the confidence and physical appearance of women who undergo chemotherapy.

Children’s Hospice Cleaning


In the lead up to winter, volunteers of Health and Beauty Benelux came together to clean and spruce up the Kinderhospice Binnenveld. The hospice has long been a refuge and home-away-from-home for many children suffering from life-threatening illnesses, and thanks to the team of volunteers, it was made cosy and comfortable for its patients.

Enhancing Lives of Refugees


Volunteers from A.S. Watson’s Health & Beauty Benelux Office reached out to refugees at an asylum centre and helped enhance their kitchen-garden facilities. We hope that the refugees can start growing their own vegetables and meet their own needs more sustainably.

Supporting SOS Children’s Village


This year, ICI Paris XL celebrates the fifth year of the SOS Children’s Village in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. In honour of this, an informational video was presented to the Belgian press in June. ICI Paris XL also launched an official mascot which will be sold in shops from October to December to raise money for the village. In addition, every ICI Paris XL district in the Netherlands adopts an SOS child, with letters and small gifts being sent to the supported children regularly.

Energy-neutral Warehouse


Installed with 1,600 solar panels on the roof, the new A.S. Watson logistic centre in Heteren, Netherlands was expected to generate 420,000 kwh of power every year. This centre had been proudly certified as “excellent” according to BREEAM, a sustainability assessment methodology for buildings, which marked the Group’s sustained commitment to the environment.

Green Store


As part of its CSR strategy, Kruidvat opened a Green Store with a low environmental footprint. The store has received an A++++ energy label, the highest rating achievable. Its features include an insulation maximising sliding door, 100% LED lighting, energy efficient beverage coolers, 28 solar panels that generate approximately 4,000 kWh per year, the elimination of natural gas for heating and the use of more environmentally friendly delivery trucks. The progressive store also serves as a testing ground for many new environmental initiatives.
