Mini Warehouse Day

The second part of this year’s WATS Day (Watsons Appreciation Towards Staff Day) took place in a different venue where the Distribution Centre (DC) team of Watsons Singapore enjoyed a wonderful day of bliss and fun. Their jam-packed afternoon started with a sumptuous buffet lunch, followed by on-site massages and health checks to allow staff unwound from work.

A Big Thank You

Watons Singapore showed their appreciation for staff at the second WATS Day (Watsons Appreciation Towards Staff Day). From staff sale and sumptuous party grub to lifestyle workshops, it was a celebration of staff dedication as well as a fun social day for everyone. Three lucky employees even walked away with an iPad each!

Staff Health Screening

Watsons considers the well-being of its employees to be of utmost importance. To ensure that Watsons Singapore staff maintain a healthy lifestyle, an onsite health screening was organised to offer them a hassle-free way to assess their health. Healthy on-the-go breakfast was provided at the end of the session as part of the wellness program.

Baking Happiness

Baking and cooking have long been known to be therapeutic. The “Earl Grey Chiffon Cake” baking workshop was therefore a fantastic way to end the day for the staff of Watsons Singapore who attended. Excitement and a sense of achievement filled the air of the kitchen as each participant watched his/her stunning creation come to fruition.

Travel Medicines and Preparations Talk

Mr. Colin Tang, a Pharmacist from Watsons Singapore, conducted a health talk on travel medicines and preparations in NEX shopping centre. It was accompanied by atrium sales of Watsons products. The talk drew shoppers who were passing by and coincided with the busy festive holiday and school break periods. During the talk, Colin shared about the common medications travellers should standby before flying, as well as tips on useful vaccinations and how to manage the symptoms of jetlag.

Harnessing the opportunity of World Water Day, engaging contents such as games and videos were launched on the brands’ social media platforms, coupled with in-store communications. Watsons Singapore also partnered with the Public Utilities Board Singapore (PUB) to advocate saving water amongst Singaporeans.

SOUL programme

Watsons Singapore’s SOUL programme provided students of the National University of Singapore with experiential learning opportunities in the many work environments of the pharmacy practice. The students also accompanied Watsons’ pharmacists to visit the retailer’s volunteering partner, Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home, where they learnt about the responsibilities and challenges of community pharmacists serving nursing homes.
