take a bite out of Australia at TASTE's first
country festival

The festival highlights several exclusive health
products: Beverages made with natural ingredients
100% grown in Australia; Grinders Coffee
offering a premium, healthy taste to coffee lovers;
Norganic Breakfast Range, free of preservatives
and artificial flavouring; and Health Snacks
that are not only delicious but also good for
you.
Eating
and good health go hand-in-hand. Good food not
only tastes great, but also makes you feel great.
With this in mind, Hong Kong's lifestyle food
store, TASTE at Festival Walk, is hosting the
Australian Food Fest from April 22 to May 5, showcasing
a range of modern health foods from the health-conscious
country to sophisticated Hong Kong shoppers.
More
than 100 products that are new to Hong Kong will
be featured, alongside about 1,300 other items.
More than 150 health foods will be grouped into
four categories: beverages, coffee, breakfast
foods and snacks.
Beverages
Buzz Honey from South Australia is Australia's
best-selling honey. The producer operates its
own beehives, providing better quality control
and a unique taste which makes it stand out from
other brands. Five flavours are being offered
at TASTE: Alfalfa, Blue Gum, Pink Gum, Cup Gum
and Salvation Jane.
Sourced
from the sun-soaked fields of South Australia,
Alfalfa is a fresh, deliciously light and
versatile honey, which is closely related in taste
to Strawberry Clover and has a subtle herbal flavour.
It
was awarded 1st place at the Royal Adelaide Show
in 2004 and 2001, and 2nd place at the same show
in 2002.
Cup
Gum is a special honey harvested every second
year from the remote high-rainfall coastal regions
of South Australia. It gets its name from the
shape of the flower, where the nectar sits in
a tiny cup at the centre. Its smooth, caramel-like
quality won the unique product 1st place at the
2001 Royal Adelaide Show.
Blue
Gum delights shoppers with a medium-rich flavour,
Pink Gum has a medium flavour, and Salvation
Jane is a light to medium honey with hints
of succulent honeycomb.
Exclusive
to TASTE, Lemnos Soy Milk is new to Hong
Kong. It offers three flavours: Original, Strawberry
and Chocolate. It is GM free with no lactose or
cholesterol, and 100% made in Australia. Sunflower
oil, a natural ingredient, is added to provide
a smoother texture. Best served with breakfast
cereals.
Grinders
Coffee
The
first designer coffee in Australia, Grinders Coffee
has a history of more than 40 years. It is well-known
for its perfect balance of acid and aroma, and
comes in five flavours: European Blend, Decaffeinated,
Crema Coffee, Organic and Brazil.
Special
highlights are Brazil and Organic. Brazil
is a unique blend created by Grinders Coffee for
espresso lovers. It is a medium roast with full
crema and thick in texture, good for the digestive
system and can be served any time of the day.
Organic
is 100% grown on plantations free from synthetic
fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides and fumigants,
while no chemicals are added during the planting
and manufacturing processes.
Norganic
Breakfast Range
Norganic is the second-largest breakfast
range in Australia. All Norganic products are
100% planted/produced in Australia and contain
no preservatives, artificial flavours, or added
fat/salt. It is wheat free and has a high fibre
content.
Norganic
uses the freshest natural ingredients and cooks
them without oil to achieve a delicious taste.
Ten flavours are on offer, including Rolled Oat
Porridge (Organic oats); Rolled Oat Porridge with
honey; Rolled Oat Muesli: Fruity & Toasted
with added psyllium; and Rolled Oat Muesli: Fruity
& Toasted with added Apricot & almonds.
Health
Snacks
Norganic
cereal bars are all fruit juice-sweetened
with no cholesterol or added salt. Four flavours
are on offer: Chewy Breakfast Bars - Apricot &
Apple Cinnamon; Crunchola Breakfast Bars - Apple
Cinnamon & Apple Blueberry.
Containing
high protein, the Well naturally snack bars
are gluten-free. They can be taken as a food
to complement sports and bring a great taste to
carb-conscious people. Highlighted flavours include
Chewy Peppermint; Chewy Caramel; and Chewy Cherry.
All are chocolate coated.
Dairy-free
chocolate is a speciality of Sweet William. Using
soya flour instead of dairy ingredients, the Sweet
William Diary-free Chocolate is ideal for
vegetarians. The chocolate is high in coco, and
free of lactose, peanut and cholesterol. Three
flavours - Plain, Dark & Nuts - are available
Allsep
Candies is 100% Australian made and owned
by the Allsep family, who have been confectioners
since the 1880s. The candies consist of 20% fruit
juice and are 99% fat free - so there is no need
to worry about giving them to children as snacks.
Two varieties are available: Fruits Animals and
Fruits snakes.
Food
tasting will be available at the hall, and customers
who spend $200 or more (including one Australian
product) can try their luck on a scratch &
win card, which can win them a deluxe Australian
food hamper or TASTE gift coupon worth $100.
The
Australian Festival will also be held at GREAT
and selected PARKnSHOP international stores so
as to reach different customer profiles.
