New store brings contemporary health & beauty
retail concept to Turkish consumers

A.S. Watson Group announced yesterday (1
April) the opening of its first Watsons Your
Personal Store in Turkey (Akatlar Mustafa
Kemal Culture Center in Istanbul) , following
its acquisition of local health and beauty chain
Cosmo Shop. This marks another milestone for the
No. 1 Asian health and beauty retail brand and
kicks off its expansion plan for the Turkish market.
The
3,000-square-foot Watsons Your Personal Store
in Istanbul offers over 7,000 high-quality products
ranging from skin care to cosmetics and hair care
to health supplementary products. As the first
international health and beauty chain in Turkey,
Watsons presents a contemporary shopping experience
to Turkish consumers. Aiming at offering a pleasant
and comfortable shopping environment for local
shoppers, the store is designed based on Watsons'
concept of "health, beauty and fun",
with bold use of refreshing colors and accent
lighting.

The
new Watsons Your Personal Store targets young
and energetic females of 18-35 years old and offer
a wide range of European brands as well as quality
products from around the world. Watsons also plans
to introduce its own label products to the Turkish
market later.
After
the acquisition of the Cosmo Shop, Watsons will
invest HK$5-6millioin (YTL 850,000 to YTL 1,000,000)
to rebrand all the seven outlets including six
in Istanbul and one in Bursa in the second quarter.
With a growing health and beauty market in Turkey,
Watsons plans to open 15 stores in the coming
year and targets to reach 100 stores throughout
Turkey in the next five years.
