| Superdrug Gets Bootilicious On Bond Street
Superdrug celebrates London milestone with pole dancing
London (3 May 2006)
This week sees a seriously fashionable milestone to Superdrug's ambitious London and South East expansion plan with the opening of the Bond Street store in central London. The UK's second largest beauty and health retailer opened eight new stores in London in the past six months.
Superdrug now has 68 London stores, 121 stores within the M25 and a total of 400,000 of prime retail space dedicated to its very own unique mix of fashion, beauty and health. A further eight stores will open in London this year as part of the ¢G14.6m investment programme.
It's no accident that the latest Superdrug is situated beneath a Boots store and merely a stone's throw away from the competitor's flagship Oxford Street store. Gerry Murphy, Marketing Director of Superdrug said: "We are proud to offer our shoppers something different. While our competitors focus on white coats and healthcare we aim to offer fashionable fun. For instance, to open our Bond Street store we will be offering pole dancing lessons ¡V that's right poles not pills."
Pole dancing lessons will be available at the Bond Street store this Friday. All are welcome, and the good news is you don't need kinky Boots to join in.
