JSC Drogas Changes Corporative Identity
Joint Stock Company Drogas on September 15th this year changes its corporative identity, which is intentional and purposeful step after successful introduction of new concept in the stores.

New corporative identity is closely related to elements of new concept in the stores and is the next step for creating company image.

Monta Strle, JSC Drogas Marketing Director: "Despite the fact that previous Drogas logo is not only one of the most valuable brands in the Baltic States, but also is loved and well known among consumers, decision was made – to change company's corporative style. New outputs, closer than before, will relate JSC Drogas corporative style to elements of trade areas in stores. With the change of store concept we create better environment for customer, but with the change of corporative style – flexible and effective communications corresponding with beauty expert ".

8 stores have been opened in the Baltic States in accordance with new concept. . From those 4 stores were opened in Latvia – 2 previously opened stores reconstructed in Riga (Kalku 5, Barona 4) and 2 new stores opened in regions – Jelgava and Dobele and 4 stores also in Lithuania – 3 previously opened stores reconstructed – in Vilnius and Kauna and 1 new store opened in Vilnius.

"Change of store concept was planned and certain activities were performed several years ago – before change of owners. Already then the possibility to develop or change company's corporative style was discussed. Significant support in developing new concept of store chain Drogas was received from chance to use A. S. Watson Group outputs that are based on more than 30 years retail experience in health and beauty segment. New Drogas stores will be created according to this conception and step by step renovation will be carried out in already existing stores," tells Andrejs Jerevs, JSC Drogas Managing Director.

Today store chain Drogas is represented in every region of Latvia and Lithuania with 95 stores – 64 in Latvia, 31 in Lithuania. In mid October this year first stores in Estonia are planned to be opened.

First Drogas store was opened in 1993 in Riga, 57 Dzirnavu Street. Drogas is the largest cosmetic and household retail chain in the Baltic States, the only representative of health & beauty segment. Today more than 800 people are employed in Latvia and Lithuania.

Since June 2004 JSC Drogas is a member of Hong Kong company's Hutchison Whampoa Limited retail and manufacturing company A.S. Watson Group.
