Superdrug, the UK's second largest beauty & health retailer and a subsidiary of the AS Watson Group, is set to capitalise on the growth of the UK fragrance market with the announcement today (Thursday 29 September) that it is to increase its number of perfume counters by 30 per cent in the run up to Christmas.

The retailer will have a perfume department in 600 stores; 85 per cent of its chain and will introduce fragrance specialists in to stores as part of the launch of its new beauty academy training scheme. The fragrance market is a growing one with consumer trends showing shoppers increasingly buy fragrances as fashion accessories.

From Paris Hilton to Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely, the chain is at the cutting edge of new brands as well as offering customers the most popular fragrance ranges and gift sets all year round. New for this Christmas will include the season's must-have scents such as Jennifer Lopez Live, Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely, My Scene, Hummer, Police Eyes for You, Black XS, Very Irresistable Givenchy for Men and Calvin Klein Euphoria.

Customers can be guaranteed a permanent fragrance range at Superdrug prices with an average basket of its top 50 fragrance lines being 20 per cent less than its nearest high street competition as well as amazing savings all year round with prices that are up to 75 per cent off recommended retail prices on designer fragrances:
