The
respondents were asked about their attitudes towards
their own health, their parents' and Hong Kong
people's health by giving marks from 0 (worst)
to 10 (very good). Some 63.2 percent of the interviewees
gave a score of between 6-10 for the health of
Hong Kong people. Moreover, 79.5 percent of the
respondents graded their own health as 6 or more;
83 percent gave a score of 6 or above for their
mother and 73 percent for their father. Interviewees
considered themselves and their parents healthier
than the Hong Kong public as a whole.
Watsons
study of children's health awareness and knowledge
in Hong Kong covered 647 primary school students
and was conducted from Nov 24 to Dec 5, 2003.
A total of 440 questionnaires were completed for
analysis. The questionnaire was developed in conjunction
with the School of Pharmacy of the Chinese University
of Hong Kong.
