To promote a healthy lifestyle and help staff stay energised during work hours, A.S. Watson Industries invited a sports coach, and along with management staff, visited different departments to do stretching exercise with employees. It also distributed food packs which contain healthy snacks and drinks to colleagues. It also invited professional masseuses to provide one-on-one neck and shoulder massage service to staff. What a relaxing day!
A.S. Watson Industries organised several activities for employees as part of the Wellbeing Programme. To promote healthy diet, a healthy buffet lunch was arranged for all staff, serving nutritious and healthy food! In addition, a Supermarket Tour led by a registered nutritionist was organised to share knowledge on labelling and common misconceptions regarding nutrition.
Moreover, to encourage staff to lead an active lifestyle, a staff bowling match was held. Beyond the fabulous prizes awarded to the winners, all participants enjoyed the match and had a fun day.
To promote Environmental Health Month, A.S. Watson Industries arranged an eco-tour for its colleagues and their families. Led by an expert guide from the Hong Kong Geopark and through professional and vivid explanations, participants were able to gain a better understanding about the formation and geological history of Lai Chi Chuang. They also toured Hoi Ha Wan on a special boat with a glass bottom, which enabled them to see the lush coral and marine life and learn more about coastal ecology and rich marine resources.
In collaboration with Yong Women’s Christian Association, A.S. Watson Industries organised a Beach Clean-up Day this year. 22 staff volunteers along with YWCA primary school students went to Clear Water Bay Beach to pick up rubbish. They managed to collect 35 bags of rubbish which weighed over 500 lbs in a mere 1.5 hours. Afterwards, they visited the new Green Point Smart Water Bottle Reverse Vending Machine at TASTE, demonstrating the ease and benefits of recycling and raising their awareness to environmental protection.
Watsons Water Hong Kong has recently kicked off its 5-year vision with cross-sector Go Green initiatives, bringing together stakeholders and recyclers to make collective efforts to reduce the bulk of plastic bottle waste. It has launched two innovative vending machines, namely “Green Point Smart Water Bottle Reverse Vending Machine” and “Green Point Smart Water Refilling Machine”, that will help turn back the tide of plastic pollution. The former accepts empty bottles for recycling and the latter allows empty bottles to be refilled. These machines are the first of 500 planned for Hong Kong.
A.S. Watson Industries staff brought their family and friends along to a company environmental initiative. The 69-strong group hiked up local landmark Baiyun Mountain’s 8km hiking path with bags in tow, picking up litter along the way and keeping the beautiful trails clean.

To provide clean water to underprivileged children, volunteers of A.S. Watson Industries visited orphans in Shanghai Children’s Home and donated a total of 50 boxes Watsons Water bottled water.
A.S. Watson Industries participated in a company environmental awareness programme to do their part in the worldwide effort in offsetting human’s carbon footprint. In the event, a total of 50 trees were planted by 23 volunteers from the company.
A.S. Watson Industries partnered with Hans Andersen Club to organise a “Walk and Run” Campaign for underprivileged children, where a total of 22 volunteers and 20 primary school students had fun in an orienteering competition and a barbecue lunch buffet in Tai Po.
