Watsons Water held an award ceremony to give thanks to the parents of 3 para-athletes and donated HKD 200,000 to support the development of para-sports. In the ceremony, the athletes and their parents shared their life journey to encourage younger generation to pursue their dreams. Watsons Water is proud to be the long-term partner of the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled which has made great contributions to the development of para-sports in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong athletes made history with their perseverance and strength by obtaining remarkable achievements at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games! To pass on this spirit to the younger generation, A.S. Watson Group Hong Kong Student Sports Awards (HKSSA) invited Sarah Lee Wai-sze, two-time Olympic Bronze medalist, to interact with the award winners. By sharing her journey of perseverance in realising her dreams, she encouraged the students with the slogan: “YOU ARE STAR”. The event ignited a flame in the hearts of the younger generation by upholding the spirit of “YES I CAN” to nurture and inspire the next generation of local sports stars.

We are proud to announce Watsons Athletic Club’s athletes got a sweeping victory in the race! We got the Champions in Men’s 10KM Elite(Senior), Women’s 10KM Elite(Senior), Women’s 10KM Elite(Junior), Men’s Half Marathon Elite(Junior), Women’s Half Marathon Elite(Senior), and Men’s Marathon Elite(Senior). Lo, Ying chiu and Vut, Tsz Ying also won the Women’s Overall champion in 10KM and Half Marathon category respectively.

Watson’s Wine co-hosted an Upcycling Workshop with Social Venture Hong Kong. Volunteers from Watson’s Wine and a group of children worked hand in hand to upcycle wooden wine boxes and glass bottles. Two upcycling artists were invited to share their ideas on how to upcycle the materials into lanterns and treasure boxes.
Is K-Beauty here to stay? According to the data released by the Korea Customs Service and Korea Cosmetic Association, South Korean cosmetics exports climbed 16.1% to reach nearly USD7.6 billion in 2020 despite the pandemic. In addition, latest research forecasts that the market size of K-Beauty will continue to grow at CAGR 9% from 2021 to 2027*.
To promote wellbeing awareness, PARKnSHOP Hong Kong kicked off a Wellbeing Campaign with a series of activities. The leadership team demonstrated stretching exercises at the office and all staff were given a stretching brand to exercise together. A Fruit, Healthy Snack & Drink Booth was also set up to encourage colleagues to build healthy eating habits.
An Exercise in Action Photo Contest was held and colleagues were encouraged to upload photo or video of them exercising. Top 4 colleagues who received the most ‘LIKE’ received an award.
A.S. Watson Group organised the Project LOL Elderly Visit, a highlighting activity of Smile for Good 2021, sharing love and smiles with 2,000 singleton elderly in Hong Kong. With the support of colleagues from PARKnSHOP, Watsons, FORTRESS, Watson’s Wine and Watsons Water, the elderly enjoyed a wonderful time filled with love, joy and happiness.
In an effort to raise students’ awareness in environmental protection, PARKnSHOP’s Green School Programme invites all primary schools and special schools to apply for funding for the projects of sustainable farming, energy efficiency, waste reduction and recycling. Since 2013, over 580 green projects have been funded, giving students wonderful opportunities to learn about sustainability in practice.
Watsons Philippines has collaborated with Plastic Bank to help reduce plastic pollution. They will work together on reducing 50,000 kg of plastic bottles from entering the world’s oceans over the first 12 months.
Watsons has always been at the forefront of sustainability and this collaboration with Plastic Bank only further reinforces its commitment to DO GOOD with its customers and help make this world a better place.
Watsons Taiwan partners with Maybelline for a plastic recycling campaign and set up recycling bins in selected stores.
For every empty bottle recycled, Maybelline will donate 10 dollars to Re-think, a Taiwanese environmental non-profit organization, to run an environmental education programme.
Watsons members can also receive a free Maybelline lipstick after returning their empty bottles.
