Recycling in Action


In 2015, to reduce the consumption of virgin PET plastic, Watsons Water bottles were transformed into 100% recycled PET. The plan is to expand the programme to include bottle sleeves and caps in future.

To educate the public about how to recycle plastic bottles responsibly, education campaigns were launched in primary schools, secondary schools and universities; a bottle recycling programme was held via Watsons stores in Hong Kong, and we partnered with the World Green Organization to run bottle-recycling events in public housing estates in Hong Kong.

Watsons Card membership Reaching 15 Million Mark in Asia


Watsons Your Personal Store, Asia’ leading health & beauty retailer, celebrates its Watsons Card reaching 15 million membership in August. Earlier in Mainland China, the card has already passed the 10 million mark. The card, was first launched in Taiwan in July 2008 and has earned an overwhelming popularity among customers. Watsons anticipates membership will continue to grow, bringing personalised shopping experience and excitement to more and more customers.
