2016 Think Customer Conference

In April 2016, A.S. Watson Group’s CRM and Digital teams hosted the biennial Think Customer Conference, a three-day workshop held in the UK & Hong Kong.
The conference brought business units together to build a 360⁰ customer strategy across CRM, eCommerce and Marketing channels.
Guest speakers from Unilever, Apple, KPMG and youngsters representing the Gen-Z “digital natives” shared their vision and thoughts on the future of branding, customer excellence, mobile and commerce. The productive conference was capped off with an awards ceremony to celebrate successful cases in eCommerce and CRM.

Tree Planting for Green 2016


In April, Guangzhou Watson’s Food & Beverage has organised two tree planting activities for employees based in Beijing and Guangzhou resepctively. More than 150 volunteers planted 110 trees at Beijing’s Huai Rou Yan Qi planting base and Guangzhou’s Baiyun Mountain Park. All participants were proud of what they did to beautify their home cities and pass on the message of living a greener life.

Pledge Your Birthday


Watson’s Malaysia’s very first iteration of its tri-annual ‘Pledge Your Birthday’ event was held on 17th April at House of Joy, a charity children’s home. The event’s objective was to encourage those whose birthdays fall within January and April to share the spirit of giving and bring hope to orphaned children. Participants celebrated the kids’ birthdays with a special lunch, fun games and presents. They also worked with volunteer teachers to arrange etiquette classes for the kids.

On 17 Apr, PARKnSHOP Guangzhou’s federation of trade unions and human resources department organised a tree planting activity for their employees. The event took place at the scenic Baiyun Mountain and helped bring together families in a fun-filled and environmentally educational day.

(Hong Kong, April 17, 2016) To celebrate the 175th anniversary of A.S. Watson Group (the “Group”) and to support the Government’s “Appreciate Hong Kong” Campaign, the Group launched a philanthropy programme “Project LOL” (the “Project”). “Elderly Day 2016” (the “Visit”) held today is a large-scale volunteer activity under the Project, a volunteer team consists of over 1,300 volunteers from the Group, our 5 business units and 39 business partners visited more than 1,750 singleton elderly in Hong Kong. We were honoured to have Mr Matthew Cheung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Hong Kong SAR Government to kick-off the visit and cheer for the volunteers.

Smoking Cessation Talk


On 13 April, Watsons Singapore’s Principal Clinical Pharmacist and Senior Pharmacist conducted a two-hour lecture for approximately 180 Pharmacy Year 2 undergraduates at National University of Singapore. During the lecture, they taught the techniques of quitting smoking, like how to manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms, and how to deal with slip-ups and relapses. In addition, they also shared about medications useful for quitting smoking, and the roles of pharmacists in helping smokers determine the most appropriate quit plan.
