In the latest 14th Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) Asia Pacific Conference, A.S. Watson Group was honored with the ECR Recognition Award in the Digital category, in recognition of its outstanding achievements in digital and eCommerce. Organised by the ECR Asia Pacific Council, GS1/ ECR Hong Kong and co-organised by The Consumer Goods Forum, this prestigious award aims to recognise the outstanding performance of corporations for their expertise in digital excellence.

Helping Children Look Good and Feel Great

True to its brand promise of making people “Look Good, Feel Great”, Watsons Philippines continues to support Operation Smile Philippines (OSP) in its mission of transforming the lives of facially disfigured children through corrective surgery. Together with customers’ donation, Watsons sponsored 633 cleft-lip and cleft-palate repair surgeries in Philippines. In addition, 275 Watsons employees volunteered to support this worthy mission, serving as final screening assistants, traffic enforcers, pre- and post-operative assistants, child specialists, and records assistants.

Recycling in Action

In 2015, to reduce the consumption of virgin PET plastic, Watsons Water bottles were transformed into 100% recycled PET. The plan is to expand the programme to include bottle sleeves and caps in future.

To educate the public about how to recycle plastic bottles responsibly, education campaigns were launched in primary schools, secondary schools and universities; a bottle recycling programme was held via Watsons stores in Hong Kong, and we partnered with the World Green Organization to run bottle-recycling events in public housing estates in Hong Kong.
