In the lead up to winter, volunteers of Health and Beauty Benelux came together to clean and spruce up the Kinderhospice Binnenveld. The hospice has long been a refuge and home-away-from-home for many children suffering from life-threatening illnesses, and thanks to the team of volunteers, it was made cosy and comfortable for its patients.
An internal project was kicked off for staff of Watsons Ukraine, encouraging employees to give thanks to each other in different ways – through cards, e-mail, the education portal and even on Facebook. Nearly 400 cards with warm thanks and sincere words have since been sent, boosting relationships and workplace bonding.
For Children’s Day, Watsons Ukraine organised a photo competition for children of its staff. More than 260 children’s pictures were collected from different corners of Ukraine. The photos were displayed in the head office as a picture gallery, and employees could vote over Facebook pages for their favourites. The top voted pictures won attractive prizes and the staff who submitted the best picture also won the opportunity to contribute a personal touch to the design of the headquarter’s conference room walls!
In all Drogas Lithuania stores, customers could purchase a red nose and contribute part of the proceeds to support the Red Noses Clowndoctors Association. This unique association organises visits to children hospitals, where professional actors roleplay as Clowndoctors to cheer the kids up. Many Drogas employees actively took part in this project by selling the red noses to customers and spreading awareness of the association’s work.
Zurich office of A.S. Watson Group organised a smoothie day at work to promote a healthier lifestyle and energise colleagues with a delicious boost of vitamins. Staff could choose from a great variety of ingredients, including milk, yoghurt, juice and different fruits.

With the theme “#GetActive”, ASW and its business units around the world participated in the Global Health Campaign to encourage employees and customers to live a more active, healthy lifestyle.
In Europe, Superdrug partnered with a nutritionist and a fitness ambassador to educate customers about nutrition and exercise while Drogas Latvia provided tips on small everyday steps to help people stay active and healthy.
In Asia, Watsons Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines organised a wide range of activities such as fitness course, fit walk event and offering simple and fun ideas for people to improve physical and mental health.
A.S. Watson Group held a series of launch events to introduce our new employer brand “Be Part of More” to its staff. Party, team building games and photobooth were all part of fun celebrations across Asia and Europe. The objective was to energise staff members and to make them feel like they belong to a community which is more than just a workplace.
The Perfume Shop has supported Look Good Feel Better for nine years – it is the only charity that helps women with cancer to combat the visible side effects of their treatment. Teams from Superdrug’s back office and stores took part in a netball tournament for the campaign, and it had a “Look Good Feel Better” week in stores, where customers could donate and “go pink”.
Drogas Latvia and Lithuania partnered with supplier, Henkel, for an exclusive project to build a children’s playground in the SOS village, a centre where orphans and special children live. Customers were invited to contribute to this meaningful project in two ways. First, they could bring in their empty Fa deodorant bottles and leave them in special containers in stores to be recycled and used later as construction material for the playground. The second way, was to purchase special Fa products, so that part of the proceeds would be donated to the cause.
