A.S. Watson, the world’s largest international health and beauty retailer, has launched The Perfume Shop’s first experiential concept store in Sheffield, UK. It has been lately ranked as one of the Top 47 Best New Retail Concept Stores in the world by Insider-trends.
In Watsons Ukraine, employees joined the national Race of Kindness by donating clothes, toys and books to children’s charities.
Superdrug ran a donation drive in partnership with Listerine for a month. For every product sold, 10 pence donation is made to Operation Smile. At the same time, Listerine products were sold at a discount to further drive sales. By the end of the campaign period, GBP10,000 was raised for this very meaningful cause!
Working in partnership with the Mekong Club, an independent NGO, A.S. Watson Health and Beauty UK has developed online training modules to raise awareness of modern slavery to all levels of staff in the UK.
A mandatory Modern Slavery eLearning Module was launched in September to all colleagues at Superdrug, Savers and The Perfume Shop. A secondary mandatory module was also launched for colleagues who are directly involved in procurement, since they are the people who would most likely come across situations involving potential modern slavery.
In August 2019, Watsons Ukraine ran a campaign with Watsons Angels on Facebook for customers to win cosmetics products and charitable gifts. All they had to do was like and share the Facebook post with a link to Watsons Angels site to participate. The campaign generated over 3,800 shares.
It’s always encouraging to see the team grow. This August, as part of its onboarding package, A.S. Watson Group Europe office hosted a welcome breakfast for new team members to help build up the sense of belonging to the team.
People who sit in the office all day are prone to common workplace ailments such as poor postures and fatigue. A Digital Detox class was held for employees at Watson Ukraine’s office to teach techniques on how to avoid excessive usage of digital devices. This not only helps colleagues focus at work but also prevents office syndromes such as neck and back pain.
To encourage its employees to pay more attention to their physical, mental and social health, Drogas invited them to participate in the #MoveNation campaign. It created guides for simple outdoor exercises, with some employees shared inspiring photos and videos of their training, being active in their everyday life.
