Watsons Taiwan volunteers supported Children Are Us Foundation before Mid-Autumn Festival, working alongside individuals with intellectual disability to package mooncakes in the Foundation’s workshops in Taipei, Hsinchu and Kaohsiung. Celebrating the spirit of sharing, donation collected from staff went to the 265 boxes of mooncakes gifted to indigenous children living in remote areas.
Watsons Taiwan collaborated with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) of Taiwan to launch a travel health campaign, where Watsons’ PX consultants were on hand to answer the public’s questions about precautions against diseases while travelling. Moreover, articles and information about travel health were distributed via direct mail and promoted on social media.

In its effort to encourage Taiwanese to become more active and healthy, Watsons Taiwan launched their #GETACTIVE event on World Health Day with a massive pound fit jam, inviting consumers to try the latest global fitness phenomenon that is inspired by drumming. This was followed by a Zumba party that saw 2,000 participants get fit together.
Watsons Taiwan staged its Love Your Lungs CSR event with a mission-based game that was highly engaging. Hundreds of people attended the fun and informative event which was held to promote lung cancer prevention. In further support of the cause, Watsons donated TWD1 million to the Formosa Cancer Foundation.
The Taiwanese government co-operated with 39 Watsons stores to make them friendlier venues for customers with Dementia. Store staff underwent training on how to handle the symptoms of Dementia in customers and in-store events were held to raise awareness of the plight. Posters and booklets were also available in the stores, to communicate medical tips on how to care for loved ones with Dementia.
Watsons Win Six “Top 10 Retailer” Titles in Asia Markets
A.S. Watson Group (ASW) has won the “Top Ten Retailer in Hong Kong – Gold Award” in the Retail Asia-Pacific Top 500 Awards 2017 organised by Asia Retail Publishing. The Group’s flagship brand Watsons was ranked high amongst other retail companies in five markets, including Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines, while Watsons China also won the Asia Top Ten retailers in Health & Beauty category.
Watsons Taiwan created a landing page on its eStore called “Charity Zone”, featuring selected items. Customers were able to purchase cartons of four Own Brand products (tissue paper, anti-bacterial cleansing wipes, body wash and shampoo) for the Good Shepherd Social Welfare Foundation, and Watsons helped deliver to the Foundation.
Watsons Taiwan celebrates its 30th anniversary with staff members through a series of fabulous performance in the 2017 spring party, with the theme of “Together Everyone Achieves More! 30 Years of Excellent Achievement”, which has fully demonstrated the energy and teamwork among staff, and showcased the milestones of the brand.
