Love Her, Love Your Lungs

Love Her, Love Your Lungs

In November 2016, for the third year in a row, Watsons Taiwan partnered with the Formosa Cancer Foundation on the “Love Her, Love Your Lungs” CSR program, designed to raise awareness about the prevention of lung cancer in women. During the campaign, a total of NT$1 million was raised for the foundation, of which NT$600,000 was set aside to launch the “Screening Support Plan for Vulnerable Households”. Free brochures were distributed in stores to educate customers about the prevention of lung cancer, and a consultation service was also provided by in-store pharmacists.

A Relaxing Treat for Our Colleagues

In collaboration with The Chinese Association’s promotion of Meridian Massage by the Visually Impaired, Watsons Taiwan arranged weekly massage sessions for employees in the office. The 30-minute sessions were a soothing treat for our colleagues and also provided additional working opportunities for the visually impaired.

Quit Smoking Campaign

Watsons Taiwan invited customers to build a smoke-free community for themselves and their loved ones by offering free quit-smoking consultancy in stores. Customers can consult pharmacists on quitting and smoking related questions, pharmacists would, in turn, offer tips and recommend suitable products.

Let’s Zumba!

Let’s Zumba!

Watsons China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Turkey organised Zumba activities to engage customers, media, suppliers and the public. In Mainland China, a Zumba carnival promoted health and caring for the community, and Watsons made a RMB1 million joint donation with suppliers to launch an online fundraising campaign in aid of the Children’s Home Project by Sowers Action. In Malaysia, a “glow in the night” Zumba party was a fun-filled, calorie-burning and total-body workout. The jungle-themed Zumba party in Taiwan attracted over 2,000 enthusiastic participants, and in Turkey, Watsons sponsored the “Get Active” lifestyle festival and ran Zumba sessions throughout the festival.

Lung Cancer Prevention Forums
