A.S. Watson is committed to fighting the climate change and minimising the environmental impact of our business activities.
The A.S. Watson 2030 Sustainability Vision focuses on engaging local communities and our suppliers in environmental protection awareness programmes, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency and achieving zero waste to landfills.
We launched the A.S. Watson Global Greener Stores Framework in 2022 which aims to build a stronger sustainability culture and practice in the way we design, construct, operate and maintain our stores.
Our 2030 Sustainability Vision (Validated by the Science-Based Target initiative (SBTi) in 2022) :
- Greenhouse Gas:
- Reducing Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50.4% by 2030 from a 2018 base year
- Reducing Scope 3 GHG Emissions from purchased goods and services, upstream transportation and distribution, and use of sold products by 58% per Hong Kong dollar value added by 2030 from a 2018 base year
- Pledging that 33% of its suppliers by emissions covering purchased goods and services, upstream transportation and distribution will have science-based targets (SBTs) by 2027
