In order to celebrate Children’s Day with staff and their children, Watsons China did something creative this year with a live broadcast in store with Watsons’ Children KOL, encouraging them to interact with viewers and experience the hottest way to social media marketing now. In addition to sharing new and popular products with the audience, the webcast also allowed the children to experience something new and fresh.
In an effort to boost employees’ sense of belonging and make them feel Watsons’ care for them and their families, every warehouse staff of Watsons China was provided with children’s face masks before Children’s Day to help protect their health and wellbeing. Children who received the masks also started in a series of fashionable “cute face warrior” photos on the day of the festival and warmed many hearts!
Sitting at a desk in an office all day will put strain your body. It’s important to take time to relax and stretch your muscles! FORTRESS invited colleagues to take on a stretching challenge. It may not be easy to some of its colleagues but FORTRESS encouraged them to try and start living a healthy lifestyle.
With an aim to raise fund for orphaned children and help protect the environment, Watsons Russia collected plastic bottle caps at the office and collaborated with local eco charity Kidness Cap. The organisation collects and recycles plastic caps from different collection points in Saint Petersburg. The proceeds are donated to an orphanage in the city.
As most of this year’s travel activities are limited or cancelled due to Covid-19, the A.S. Watson Zurich team launched a shared staff platform to gather ideas and inspiration for potential weekend getaways and short holiday trips. Ideas include scenic hiking routes and trails, interesting and stunning places to see and experience around Switzerland. With the travel limitations, we need to make the most out of what we have access to and enjoy ourselves while remaining safe.
After several months of home office and remote work, the Zurich Team of A.S. Watson Group redecorated their lunch room with a new “ZEN” theme to welcome everyone back to the office. The theme helps promote staff wellbeing after periods of isolation and returning to a more crowded and busy environment. It helps them find inner peace and tranquillity and prepares them for the day ahead.
Watsons Thailand’s People Team visited store staff on 21 May, the first day the stores re-opened since the lockdown in March. They visited the store team members bearing small gifts to reassure and show them that they are loved and supported and that everyone at Watsons Thailand will always be here for them.
Superdrug is proud to announce that it has removed all plastic applicators from own brand tampons, and launched its first own brand range of organic menstrual products, Luna, to continue to offer customers more environmentally friendly alternatives.
With over 200,000 tonnes of sanitary product material believed to end up in UK landfill every year, Superdrug is the first health and beauty retailer to discontinue plastic applicators within its own brand sanitary products, which will save over 418kg of plastic each year.

On the International Day of Families, eLab Milan organised a web conference focusing on the concept of families and how COVID-19 impacted family life for many Italian families. Colleagues also donated food and first need products to families in need.
During the Covid-19 epidemic, many are doing their part, complying with isolation guidelines to keep the public safe despite suffering quietly from the stress brought about by quarantine. Watsons Taiwan staff cheered them on by organising a thank-you activity amongst the retail store employees. They were encouraged to use photos or videos to show their appreciation and gratitude towards anyone of their choosing. The interaction helps bring a little joy to citizens in quarantine and help them stay connected despite the physical distance.
