AS Watson (P&C UK) Ltd. announced today that the Offer for the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Merchant Retail Group plc had been declared unconditional in all respects.

AS Watson Health and Beauty Continental Europe announced yesterday the acquisition of Portegies Drugstore in the Netherlands. Portegies was founded in 1865 and has grown into a drugstore chain of 38 outlets located mainly in Randstad and Central Netherlands with approximately 280 employees.
