In 2016 alone, MTel will deliver 9 mobile apps for ASW eLab in Asia. Operating in 25 markets worldwide, AS Watson Group is the largest international health & beauty retailer in Asia & Europe. This appointment would make Mtel, a leading digital solution agency based in Hong Kong, a strategic partner of ASW’s customer-centric retailing approach.
AS Watson Group’s (ASW) flagship retail brand Watsons has reached an agreement with Baidu Waimai, one of China’s fastest-growing O2O (online-to-offline) platform to provide high quality and convenient shopping experience, making Watsons products available to over 30 million shoppers in 120 cities in the Mainland.
With an accelerated development pace of unveiling over one new store in every two days, Watsons China is pleased to announce that its store number topped 2,000 in November, marking a significant milestone in its business development.
In accordance with Mainland China’s Top 100 Brands report delivered by Campaign Asia-Pacific and Nielsen, Watsons China ranks 25 and it proves the brand’s widespread recognition and support from customers.
Turbocharged Growth in Mainland China
2014 marks the 25th anniversary of Watsons China. To celebrate this special milestone, Watsons China jointly staged a celebration ceremony cum charity sale at Zhengjia Plaza in Guangzhou with its major suppliers on 27 May. As part of the commemorative event, a charitable art exhibition showcasing the artworks of four renowned local illustrators and artists was held, which portrayed the beautiful moments of Chinese female customers, while demonstrating the brand’s stories and its continuous dedication to the beauty and wellbeing of women on Mainland for the past 25 years. During the ceremony, Watsons China and its 25 major suppliers presented the donation cheque to the representatives of Sowers Action with an aim to support their education assistance project in rural area in Guizhou Province. In the meantime, a make-up pouch charity sale kiosk was also launched to raise fund for Sowers Action.
