Superdrug recently announced its plans to return to TV with the launch of its first major TV advertising campaign for ten years.
The Kate Moss effect is a known phenomenon in the fashion industry, now Superdrug is the latest retailer to see the Moss magic create serious sales growth for a brand, after widespread coverage of the model with a Superdrug charity tote bag earlier this year. Superdrug launched its fashion brand, True Spirit, in 2005. In the 18 months since the launch, with a range of trends led jewellery, the range has diversified and grown into a G10m business. This growth is forecast to continue with the business being worth over G26m by the end of 2007.
This morning the new Beckham fragrances have landed in store! This morning at 6am the pink pick-up truck collected our first stock of the two new his and hers fragrances for a 7am photocall at the Oxford Street store. Photographers and television news crews were there to capture the moment TV the world's best Victoria and David look-alikes delivering the stock into store.
Superdrug, the UK's second largest beauty and health retailer owned by the AS Watson group, today (Sunday, 23 April) confirms its first three stores in Southern Ireland. The retailer announced ambitions to move into Southern Ireland as part of its new store expansion plan back in January and has already identified its first three stores in Omni Park, Talaght and Wexford. The stores are expected to open in late May.
Superdrug, the UK's second largest beauty & health retailer and a subsidiary of the AS Watson Group, announces today (27 October 2005) that it is to trial 24 hour trading in the run up to Christmas. The retailer's Oxford Street store will trade 24 hours from Monday 19 December through to Friday 23 December 2005.
